Olivia Moaddel

Violin

Olivia Moaddel is an accomplished violinist who began studying the instrument at the age of four. She has won numerous competitions, including the annual Hartt Chamber Competition and the Mason Gross School of the Arts Chamber Competition. In addition, she has performed with several professional orchestras, including the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra and the Curtis Symphony Orchestra. Moaddel has also played in masterclasses with several renowned artists and has performed with well-known ensembles such as the American Quartet and the St. Lawrence Quartet. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance from The Hartt School, a Master’s degree in Violin Performance from the University of Ottawa, and is currently working towards a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Violin Performance at Rutgers University. Moaddel is also attending OAcademy Live where she will receive an accelerated artist diploma in orchestral playing in June of 2023. Alongside her studies, she has her own violin studio where she teaches violin and viola and hopes to continue performing, inspiring, and bringing beautiful music to those around her after her graduation in May of 2024.

Danielle Sinclair

Violin

Hailing from Baltimore, Maryland, Danielle Sinclair is a multidisciplinary violinist, violist, and teaching artist based in the Tri-State area. As an orchestral musician, Danielle performs prolifically across the United States, including past performances with the Marrowstone Music Festival (Bellingham, WA), the Miami Music Festival (Miami, FL), and the National Orchestral Institute (Washington D.C.). Locally, Danielle has performed with the Bergen County, Central Jersey, Summit, and Ridgewood Symphonies. She most recently joined the South Orange Symphony as their Concertmaster in residence for their 73rd and 74th seasons. Her performances have received numerous accolades including the Best Solo Instrumental Performance award at the Walt Disney World Night of Stars Talent Competition, and a “Best Orchestral Performance” Grammy nomination for 2018 album Ruggles, Stucky & Harbison: Orchestral Works as a part of the 2017 National Orchestral Institute + Festival Orchestra. As a wedding and events musician, Danielle collaborates with acclaimed music companies, including the Highline Quartet, Keyport Quartet, Music Boutique NYC, and Treble and Bass Productions, to bring clients’ musical visions for their events to life.
An avid theatre-lover, Danielle regularly performs as Concertmaster for semi-professional and local theater companies, including Big League Productions’ 2022 USA National Tours of South Pacific and An American in Paris. A passionate advocate for music as a vehicle for social change, Danielle is on faculty at Paterson Music Project, an El Sistema inspired program based in the city of Paterson. Danielle also maintains a prolific private violin studio where she practices a collaborative, conversational teaching philosophy.

Rozie Dumas

Rozie Dumas is a highly accomplished and experienced violist specializing in chamber music. With over 13 years of experience in the industry, Rozie has established herself as a talented and sought-after musician. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance in Viola from Montclair State University, where she studied under renowned violist Honggang Li of the Shanghai Quartet. Dumas was also privileged enough to study with world-renowned violinist Boris Kucharský, and violinist Mary Ann Mumm of The Metropolitan Opera.Dumas is currently a full-time member of the Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey with a principal position, showcasing her expertise in classical and baroque music. She frequently collaborates with orchestras such as the Livingston Symphony and the Orchestra of Saint Peter’s by the Sea. In addition to performing, Dumas runs a robust violin and viola teaching studio.Throughout her career, Dumas has also had the privilege to contribute to other notable ensembles including The Pope’s Choir, The Orangeburg Symphony, The Staten Island Philharmonic, and the South Orange Symphony, and numerous musicals at The Algonquin Theater.

MARK EDWARD SERKIN

Cello

American cellist MARK EDWARD SERKIN is a Doctor of Musical Arts candidate at Rutgers University where he studies with cellist Jonathan Spitz, Principal Cello of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. Mark has performed at Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Hall, and various other venues. He received his Bachelor’s and Masters’ degrees with honors in cello performance at Mannes School of Music, studying with Barbara Stein Mallow and Jeffrey Zeigler. Mark has participated in many festivals such as Meadowmount School of Music, Kinhaven Music School, NY Philharmonic Biennial, Manchester Music Festival, Taconic Music, Luzerne Music Center, and the National Orchestra Institute and Festival, where he recorded for the Naxos label in 2015 and 2016. Mark has performed in solo and chamber master classes for artists such as Steven Isserlis, Sharon Robinson, Timothy Eddy, Robert DeMaine, Jonathan Spitz, Peter Stumpf, Julia Lichten, Gloria dePasquale, Kronos Quartet, Horszowski Trio, Catalyst Quartet, and the Miró Quartet. His main mentors include Hans Jørgen Jensen, Vladimir Panteleyev, Todd Phillips and Nancy Wilson.
